Hannah's 2nd Birthday Plans in the Making...

My little Hannah-Bug will be turning the BIG 2 in just a few short months...

And on top of being pregnant.. Soon getting my spring cleaning on.. *can I get a chorus of UGH's!?!?!* I normally look forward to spring cleaning.. But not right now!!

And just dealing with life throwing curve balls at us.. I feel like I should start planning and buying for it NOW!! It will be a small party... The first Sunday afternoon\evening in May.. Her birthday is May 6th.. But my family will be makin' the journey down here to celebrate with us.. We will also be inviting a few family's from our church.. So not really a lot..

We hope to have it outside in our back yard.... Hannah LOVES being outside.. And maybe we might have a cute little gazebo by that time too...
We are looking and considering this baby....

Anyway I am thinking for a color scheme of Lime *bright* green and Pink!! 
It's so bright and HAPPY!! I love it...

Ideas....

Hannah LOVES dressing up in her *fluff-ies* So I might see if I can make her one of these.. She can wear it that day and then use it in her dress up basket...

She LOVES wands figured I would have left over of above fabric 

so why not make some matching wands!?

Colored number ice cubes... Yes I might be that mother who would do this... Simply because I think it's 

AWESOME!! 

Not sure if I will do this.. I might just do it on a poster board instead of the wooden number!
Walmart is a great place to get cheap photos printed out!

Food wise Im thinking of doing just a hodge podge of Hannah's favorites...
I think I will do alot of fruit...
This girl LOVES HER FRUIT!!

-She also LOVES her hot dogs of ANY sort...

Also there will be chips the girl loves her chips too !
And cake\cup cakes of some sort..

I'm sure my hubby will want to spoil the adults and whip up some BBQ of some sort...
He likes to be the grill master...
Drink wise... Pink lemon aid sounds pretty great and..

And you know me.... Gotta have the matching straws.....

I'm trying to think if I want to do any games... I'm thinking not though.. She is only two and if the other families do come, I'm thinking we can set up our outside games?!?!? And then maybe do something like this with green and pink?!?! Since it will be an evening\Dinner party....

Anywho... That's my random blog post for the day... Just a lot of ideas being thrown around and I hope to maybe start buying for it soon so I wont be un-prepared this time around... Thank goodness for HOBBY LOBBY!!! I will so be hittin' up that store!

~*~ Happy Valentine's Day~*~

Happy Valentine's Day from our family to yours....

Well I was going to start off this post with showing you how all the how the gifts were wrapped and staged.. *It twas cute if I do say so myself!*

 And then show you pictures of said gifts being opened...

*Hannah loved her's and I believe my husband will be enjoying his when he gets home! ;-) A world travel of beer... And his favorite kind of gummies..* 

And then the topper...

I was going to make you all jealous of the very yummy breakfast that I made for us... Okay the main part was yummy.. the eggs were a wee bit over seasoned! 

My Bad! 

The main part was this ooey gooey pull apart cinnamon loaf! That my momma used to make ALL the time.. In fact it become quite famous to be made on neighbors birthday's and brought over to them!! And it also helped my sister and I get out of my senior prank that we pulled off!! Bahahaha... Yes being home schooled I may not have gotten a prom but I did a senior prank! I am THAT awesome.. Even got permission from the owners to do said prank.. Hahahaha we TP-ed a house.. And as a thank you made the pull apart cinnamon loaf and helped clean up said tp! 

And who I digress... 

All that being said and NO pictures... yeah exactly that... 

NO PICTURES... I took a TON of pics yet... Silly me... FORGOT to make sure the memory card was in the camera!!! 

I was SOOOOOOO ANGRY!! 

So without further delay here are some pictures that I took AFTER I put said memory card back into the camera..

The bunting\banner that I FINALLY made! hahaha after all that doingand worrying turned out to be easier then I thought it would be! 

The hearts will be changed out with a shamrock sort of thing and so on and so on!!
So I could keep it up year round...

Kinda lame and not well done...
 But it's the thought that counts.. right?!?!?!

Hannah got a coloring book and markers today!
And she loved them...
And Momma is now wondering... WHY did I buy her markers?!?!
 hahahahaha...  In all honesty she does really well with them..

 Then later tonight I let her pick out a movie and she picked Lilo and Stitch... 

She LOVES that movie!! 

As you can tell that she isjust sitting... not doing anything else... Just sitting... This is very rare...

 And then we snuggled down after getting a bath and cleaning up from dinner.. 

And she had her chocolate milk and we read her Little Critter Valentine book that her grandma got her... 

This was snapped right before she went to bed...

Dun.. DUn.. DUN.. THE CLOSET!!!!

Our closet is a thing of beauty.. 

*SNORT.. NOT*

Our closet and Hannah-Bug's closet *soon to be Hannah- Bugs' and Baby #2's* closet...

They both need some major re-organization and TLC FAST!!! It's my goal to get this done before ummm

humm what would be a good time frame? Maybe  before Hannah-bug's 2nd birthday?!?! Which is the beginning of May...Humm May 1st... I will be done with BOTH closets by May 1st...No no no... That's too much time.. April 1st... yes I will be done with both of them by April 1st... 

Now no judging..... Here are pics of our closet...

I will have you know the Bug enjoys taking stuff off the shelves and re-putting it back...

she isn't the best at putting away clothes and I have come to realize there is better things to spend my time on..

 From the outside...

 It's a BIG as in really a LONG closet..

It's goes pretty much the length on the wall... 

 Here is a drawing... Of what it measures out and looks like...

 There is a rod hanging but it's not supported right!! And so if you hang clothes in the middle.. It bends... REALLY BADLY!! 

And so this is what I'm thinking on... 

Taking the huge rod.. And having my hubby cut it into about 20 inch lengths... I will need 6 of them... I will hang them width\depth wise.. Kinda staggered.. Wish I could draw better I would draw it out.. I would start hanging them at the ends of the closet.. And then with each one, bringing it down a foot or so and bringing it forward.. So then they are stair-stepped.. 

So then say on my side I could have dresses hanging on the back rod...

Skirts could be hung on the center rod...

 Then pants and shirts could be hung on the bottom rod.. 

*Does that make sense?!?!* 

And then I'm hoping to maybe get a full length mirror and hang in in the closet and be able to use it... And then I'm pretty sure with three rods apiece and then our dresser that we will have plenty of clothing space... And hopefully it will stay more organized... And I'm pretty sure we wont have to buy anything.. 

*ahem okay maybe the full length mirror!* 

It should be simple enough to do..

I HOPE!!! 

And That's pretty much what I'm wanting to do to Hannah'Bugs' closet too.. So one side can be for her... and one side can be for Baby #2s clothes! 

Anyway... Those are my thoughts on our lovely closets...

Gearing Up For Valentine's Day...

So today after going to church and going to a friends' house for lunch and games..

My hubby took off with a friend and met up with other's to go to a HUGE Christian concert that is about 2 hours away.. So I took this opportunity to go shopping for the Hannah-Bug and the Hubby for Valentine's Day.. I will post what I got for the Hubby HOWEVER he checks my blog and I don't wanna ruin the surprise so on Valentine's Day I will be posting what I got him...

However this is what I got Hannah-Bug!!!

She will be getting a:

-Gray *Love* felt bag
-BIGGER slipper socks.. She has one pair that she loves and she has grown out of them!!!
I got them for her Dec. 2012!! She wasn't even a year old YET!!!!

*I know I'm going to regret this I bet... But she is Always asking for mine... SO we shall see!!*
-Mini markers
-Coloring book
-Sparkle headband... 
Most of it was purchased at the $1.00 section!!!
And I splurged and bought myself a few little things...

A lovely shade of pink nail polish and a Cadbury Cream Egg!!
 Don't know why but I LOVE THEM!!!

Today....

Hey all y'all....

So today was a lazy sort of day.. Only extra thing I really did was clean the kitchen.. YUCK....
 It was chilly-cold, gray and cloudy out so no fun in the sun for us...
While Hannah was napping I got a huge craving for SOFT.. CHEWY... YUMMY snickerdoodles! So goggled it... And  OH MY GOSH... Did I find a great recipe!!!

They are perfect and was exactly what I was craving...

Here is the full recipe.. I followed it to a tee... Umm well not exactly! I halved the recipe!! Besides that followed it exactly..
Super Soft Snickerdoodle Cookies

makes about 3 dozen cookies

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
3 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1 teaspon vanilla extract
For the cinnamon sugar:
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Heat the oven to 425°F. Gently melt the butter in a saucepan or in the microwave and let it cool while you mix the dry ingredients. Stir together the sugars, flour, spices, baking soda, and salt. Whisk the eggs into the cooled butter and add the vanilla. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring just until it comes together.

In a soup plate or shallow bowl, mix together the white sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Form small 1 1/2-inch balls of dough and roll them in the cinnamon sugar. Place them on an unlined, ungreased baking sheet and flatten slightly. Bake for 7 minutes then remove and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Remove to a wire rack.

And then there was a moment this afternoon the sun peeked through the clouds and  right into my living room.. And Hannah started havin' a fit cause the sun was blocking her view from the wonderful Jake and the Neverland Pirates... hahahahaha... Sooooo I shut the living room curtains... And got freaked out..
Oh crap a cockroach....

Yep.. it is a huge cockroach.. However the secret here... It's NOT on the other side of the curtain...
It's... INSIDE of the curtain.. It's dead.. But it's there... Just hanging out! And for the life of me I can't figure out HOW the little bugger got in there!!! And more importantly...
 I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET HIM OUT!!!!
Akkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!! Advice? Input? Any ideas?

Getting Decorated Up For Valentine's Day.....

So after some lag time from my last post I promise to hopefully get back on track...

I made my momma a wreath for her front door for Christmas.. I loved myhand-ie work so much that I desided I was going to make one for our front door...

So after going to hobby lobby *best place EVER*
Got a grape vine wreath...
A letter *H*...
 And some Valentine's fun-ness....
 And about $15.00 later this is what I got.

 The Valentine decor can be taken out easily and replaced with other holiday fun-ness like shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day and flowers for spring... etc..etc... And then I will keep the decor from year to year... So it will be used and used again... I'm so excited!!
 *Oh wow just realized the wreath is crocked I guess I better go fix that!!*

All they had was oval or really freaky circle wreaths... So the husband suggested the oval.. I pouted cause I wanted the circle.. Come to find out... It was a good thing that I listened to my husband! The oval works so much better then the circle would have!!!!
*Now if only I could learn to listen to my hubby and not pout, whine and complain like a 5 year old...*
Shhhhhh don't tell him I said THAT!!!
 hahahaha he would never let me live it down..
And then another idea I had was to start doing a table runner for each season\holiday.. So got some girly\frilly fabric for Valentine's Day... Now I was looking for a red\pink\white checked\plaid... But couldn't find any to my liking but my hubby pulled out this totally vintage\girly fabric and he was like "hey this would make a wonderful table runner..." Ummm ok wasn't planning on going THAT girly... But like I said trying to embrace the husbands thoughts!!! So I bought a yard....
And ended up with this..

However, I have left over fabric and I bought some lovely burlap fabric too! You will have to wait for what I will be doing with the said left over fabric and the burlap... I plan on working on it..  And possibly finishing it tonight?? And when I do I will blog all about it... It's still a rough idea in the making.. But I'm thinking it will turn out super cute! And this too will be able to be saved and re-used and re-made to go into other seasons\holidays!!!
So that's about it for now... Like I said I hope to blog more!!
