Sigh......

So my life right now is this quote to a tee. "The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry" -Robert Burns-... I had such high hopes to get some amazing Thanksgiving shots.. Of the food, the friends *we had about 16 people over!* and the fun times. However the photos I did get were kinda last minute and just didn't look that good. So I am embarrassed to put them up. I had all these amazing plans to take close ups of the table that I decorated, and the food that I and others made... I had made Homemade Cranberry Sauce, which turned out yummy, at least to me. I don't see why homemade Cranberry Sauce has such a bad reputation. Anyway, I also made this Pumpkin Cheesecake. Now if anyone knows something about me, it's the fact that I hate cheesecake. However, I have been told that I bake an amazing cheesecake. Can I just ask.. Isn't that really weird??? LoL... Anyway, So at first it turned out half par, it looked horrid till my husband smoothed out the top of it. And made it look all pretty.. Yet I NEVER got a picture of that either! GURRRRRR..... And then I made my Mommas Homemade Stuffing... Which it was kinda dry, but that is because the way it was cooked. SIGH... So anyway, and did I come up with a plan B for just in case? NOPE! Why would I come up with a plan B when I thought Thanksgiving would go off perfectly?!?!? I mean I was SO EXCITED about Thanksgiving this year, and then on the day of... Everything just kinda fizzled out and POOFED into dust...

And then I re-lived that wonderful quote yet again the DAY after Thanksgiving. Growing up, EVERY year the day after Thanksgiving my family decorated for Christmas... I mean it was the whole nine yards, Christmas music, hanging the decorations, lights on the house while eating yummy Christmas cookies and drinking eggnog. I even did it all last year, and my husband was deployed. Now this year it seemed rushed and not thought out. No cookies, no eggnog, no music. And NO PICTURES! I can't even post the pictures I took last year since we now live in a new house...

HAHAHA I almost wish that I could have a re-do of this weekend. There would be so many things I would change, things I would say and not say, things I WOULD NOT stress out about... I guess hindsight is always twenty-twenty.

OH!! FUNNY THING!!!
As I just heard our mouse trap go off for the second time today! It's getting cold... Really cold outside and guess where all the mice are going?!?! MY HOUSE! And to make matters worse... 1. I HATE MICE *had very traumatic childhood which involved mice.. LOTS OF MICE* 2. I feel like a horrid house keeper knowing that these stupid animals are in my house. 3. I acted like a true girl last night. I was making turkey sandwiches for me and my hubby when I saw a mouse run across my kitchen floor! I screamed. I mean it wasn't a little yelp..... I really screamed. hahaha I think I scared my husband! I have NEVER screamed over a mouse. I mean it was just weird.. SO I have a feeling that I will be hearing that *lovely* snapping noise for a while..

Ummmm... Oh yes! BABY BUMP! It's official I have a baby bump. LoL not big enough to by bigger skirts, but I am finding that I need LONGER shirts. I have been noticing that I need to be constantly pulling my shirts down... So I believe shirt shopping at Goodwill will be on the to-do list at the end of this week! And shocker of all shocker... I have a picture of it!!!!

Baby Bump at 17 weeks.. The baby is the size of an onion!
