House Tour......

Well.... I was going to go room by room.. Have like Mondays' be *House Tour* days... HOWEVER... Me being the impatient person that I am, and the fact that I'm not 100% great at keeping with set blog dates like that.. Figured I would just go through and do it ALL in one picture heavy post.. Spoiler alert: You will not be seeing the bathroom... *It needs some TLC... it's yawn.. kind of boring!* Same with the guest room... I don't like it... Trying to think of cute and pinterest-ie ways to spruce it up..

To start off this marathon house tour post...
 The office\catch-all\sewing\crafting room!
BEFORE painting it...

Found these amazing curtains that matched the blue perfectly..

After painting it a very happy blue color!
 The entry-way...
 Hannah-Bugs Room

Hannah's reading corner
The tree my husband painted.. Yes he paints, he sews, he cooks... Pretty much the only thing he doesn't really do is clean.. That's where I come in handy... hahahaha.. The bug painting is one that my talented little well erm since she is getting taller... youngest sister did! *Thanks Abi!* The giant ladybug pillow is from my parents... Such a spoiled little Hannah-Bug...
Her book case filled with books....

More entry way... Hummm I guess they loaded out of sync...

Our dinning room... I made the curtains..
We just bought the table as an early anniversary gift to ourselves...

I have a love\hate relationship with our fireplace... The thing is HUGE!!
And it doesn't have a mantle.. So nowhere to hang stockings! Or drape ever greens or garlands...
I believe this is a pinterest worthy project here... My husband has won all these medals for his *awesome* sometimes annoying cooking abilities..I have spent the last few years trying everything, from gluing, and sticking them on paper and trying to frame them...
And we had this old coke crate... And one day boom!!! The idea came to me... And this is what I came up with...

I found the candle idea on pinterest.. My husband came up with the wood painting picture. I put them together... .

The Living room... We need more seating... And yet there would be no room for MORE seating..

And our state of the art tv... yep a goodwill find for $20.00!

The laundry *room*  erm... closet!
Had some left over paint from the office area.. And I loved the happy color, figured hey I will be spending a lot of time doing laundry might as well make it my "happy" closet..

Yes, all you see is just a washer... The "room" is only big enough width wise for the washer or the dryer.. I picked the washer.. And have been learning tricks on how to hang dry everything! *fingers crossed* we will be getting a stackable washer and dryer early next year??
 The Kitchen....
The stove fridge we bought the first day we were here in the house.. Since the house didn't come said appliances..

 Question to all y'all..
You see in the above picture the post? I am considering painting all 4 sides in a chalk board paint..
I LOVE the idea of having a chalk board.. I was going to make a HUGE one to hang, BUT.... We have no where to really put it.. But I'm kinda liking the idea of doing the post...
Also... where do you get chalk?!?!?! I mean really... All I can find is this HUGE sidewalk chalk.. And its sooo hard to use! *Any hints would be great!*

"Cook With Love... Otherwise, what's the point?!?!"
Well.... That about does the house tour! Once I get the guest bedroom and the bathroom to my liking I will hook y'all up!

  1. You could get those command hook things to hang stockings on the fireplace! They stick to walls, etc and have a hook for hanging things..and they come off also. And chalkboard paint? Love it! I'm dying to make a big chalkboard! :-P I love it! My favorite room is the dining room..I love it! And Hannah's room. :)
