So this is late like really late in coming... * I got these gifts when I was still in Oregon..* LoL anyway, my husband sent me these lovely gifts from where he is stationed in Iraq.. We are just about 100 days into the deployment... So I think that measures out to about 1\3 or the way done.. Wow I can't believe how fast and how slow time goes all at the same time!!! Craziness... Anyway back to what I was posting about....
~Group Shot of everything that came...~
~A velvet lined box, with a perfume bottle inside...~
~A wooden camel carved by hand... and the fun thing is that inside the "hump" of the camel is a baby camel carved inside... The trick is that, it was carved through the hump....~
~The perfume bottle out of the box and with the two different kinds of perfume my husband got for me... ~
~A hand carved incense box....~
~Leather photo album with an imprint of the country of Iraq on one side and, a camel on the other side..~
~One side of a note he wrote me... You wouldn't be interested in the other side, a bunch a mushy stuff!~
Oh and NOT shown is part of an Iraqi newspaper that he used as wrapping... And well I don't know what it says so I don't want to take a picture of it in case it says something weird, odd, or not nice... But the writing is so much different from our writing! Very crazy! Anyway, so that's all, Just through you all might like to take a peek at what can come from Iraq...
~Be Safe. Be Blessed and Be A Blessing!~
those are AWESOME gifts! My husband draws things like that on napkins and leaves them on my work desk :)
