A Door That Has Been Opened......

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."
~Matthew 7:7-8~

So my life has taken in interesting turn. I have been praying and keeping my eyes open for a volunteer position. All I knew is that I wanted to make sure that I helped others, and to somehow connect with the Army. Since this is my husband's job for at least the next three years, I wanted to support him and his job the best I can and help others support their soldiers as well. So I contacted my FRG leader *Army talk for Family Readiness Group*. And asked her if there was anything she needed help with or any volunteer positions open. She replied back telling me that she had a few small positions open, however what she really needed was someone to step forward and volunteer to be an FRG leader. (To take over her place) So after much thought and prayer, I moved forward and took the next step. Asking my husband his thoughts and opinion, so I emailed my hubby. He talked to me, asked me some questions and gave me his *EXCITED* blessing to move forward and tell my FRG leader that I was interested... Well after my last FRG meeting the leader came up to me and gave me a piece of paper with what my basic duties would be. They seem simple enough, plus this FRG leader will co-lead with me till the soldiers get back. And she told me to then email her husband that he had the final say of who would be taking over. I emailed the Commander of 64th Brigade, who I might add is overseas as well. So I emailed him a short bio about myself. A day or so later he messaged me telling me that he was so thrilled to have a younger soldiers' wife stepping up to the plate. And welcome to the team.. Sooo to say the least after all of this.... I am now well on my way to becoming an FRG leader. I am taking a few classes on-line *on an army site...* And then in a few weeks I will be taking a few three day session classes. I will start going to "steering" meetings next month. I am so excited, happy and nervous all at the same time. My husband is THRILLED that I am embracing this "challenge"... He tells me that he is so excited for me and that it encourages him to know that I am thriving here in Colorado Springs even though he is gone and not here to support me physically.

So for anyone who reads this... I have one favor to ask of you... Please just pray a short prayer that the Lord will give me the wisdom, guidance, Patience, strength and grace for this. And all I have to say is I want the Lord to be seen in every move I make, I want the Lord to be heard in the words that I will speak...
I can do NOTHING but HE can do EVERYTHING!

~Be Safe! Be Blessed and Be A Blessing!~
