Then and Now......

Our Front Yard.... *THEN* Being last year about August time frame, I think....

*NOW* Yesterday... After we got done with some planting...

Yeppers we have been busy here at the Hafele Home.. Yesterday we planted 4 window boxes, and 5 pots... My hubby hoed along our fence line so we could plant wildflower seeds. And he also planted sunflower seeds over ont he other side of our drive way to give it a little but more color this summer. :) We have planted grass seed TWICE now... I believe the second one took... For that I am very happy. The first time he planted grass seed, there was this HUGE wind storm that night, I'm pretty sure the grass seed blew away... :( However if you look carefully at our front *lawn* now you can see grass sprouting up.. Most of the green you see in the picture is this really odd and funny looking weed... Not sure what it is, But it's green and looks kinda nice. Green is better then dirt anyday if you ask me. So we not only have Wild Flowers, Sunflowers, and Patunias... We also have some herbs growing. Infact I have used the herbs a few times already while cooking dinner for my hubby. We have Apple Mint, Rosemary, Parsley, Thyme, and Basil.... Our Backyard.... Is a different story. It is just dirt, all dirt and NOTHING BUT DIRT. However, my husband still loves to entertain back there. With his big manly grill and his *NEW* fire pit, that I got him for Easter. Infact last night we made s'mores and talked around the fire until late into the night... :) It was fun and relaxing.....
