New Things......

Yes... Yes... I know... I know... I said that I would share pictures and stories of our trip to Oregon after we got back. However I have some fun and exciting things going on around here.... *NEW* things meaning new arrivals to our home... Some came from New York.... And some came from Oregon!

FROM NEW YORK:
My sister in law *Shelly* knows how much I LOVE sunflowers. So when I got to New York she had this box and bag full of Sunflower stuff. This is only a few shots of what she got me. There will be more to come later, when I get them up in my yard and house... *Thanks Shelly*

This is a little sign that she got me! The Sunflower angle is from my hubby before he deployed!!!

Then I know you can't see these very well, but they are half pots and they have sunflowers on the front of them. I added the candles... Also funny story about the candles. I was "trying" to get them to stay in the half pots, with HOT GLUE... What happens to candles when they get too HOT?!?!?! Can anyone take a wild guess!?!?! LOL.. Let's just say it took me more then one try to figure out WHY my great idea wasn't working!!!

This sign says: "Bless This House" my sis-in-law made it for me...

And the sunflower picture she took and framed for me!

FROM OREGON:
Now like I said about the New York gifts... This is not everything from Oregon... More pics will be posted, when I get things up and going!!!

These first two pics are of a sign that my mom gave me!! Back in the late 90's my mom used to paint and make things to sell at craft shows. Well I loved to think about how I would want this or that for my house... And now I have one!!! "It says "Country Laundry"

As you can see it's hanging right above my washer! I know sooo original!

This is a lovely little pillow that a good friend of ours got for Shawn and me for our anniversary! It has found a home on our rocking chair in the living room...

AND THIS!!!! THIS IS MAJORLY AWESOME! I bet you three guesses that you can't guess what's in this box...
1. NO your wrong...
2. Nope wrong again.... One more guess....
3. HAHAHAHA NOT EVEN CLOSE!

This lovely little bin holds hundreds of wriggly, slimy, WORMS!!!! Yes, I Megan, now am a proud owner of a WORM BIN! These feisty little creatures can eat through a mountain of fruit and veggie scarps like nothin' else! My AWESOME MOMMY, gave me a bucket of worms to take back home with me. *Now I bet you have never heard or seen someone drive for 19 hours with WORMS in their car!* LoL... Anyway, with all the good things worms do to this stuff eat and then well, for lack of a better word.. Poop... It makes AMAZING fertilizer! And I can't wait to use it... "it" being the worm castings...

Anyway that's all for now! I need to go now! Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to read this lil' ol' blog...
