99 Days till Christmas......

Yes... You read that right! Only 99 days till Christmas! Go ahead get out your calendar! And start adding up the days.... I dare you! Or just go HERE  Yeah I saw that and I'm like OMGOSH!! Are you kidding me?!?! I gotta get on the ball.. Especially since every year I aim to get my Christmas shopping done buy Thanksgiving so then I can *enjoy* the Christmas season without having to worry about shopping for this and that.. Alas the last time I was able be done by Thanksgiving was 2010 when the hubby was deployed... Sooo it's been a few years since I have *hit* my goal.. But this year I'm going to die trying to get done by Thanksgiving! Because Christmas will sneak up after Thanksgiving this year, since Thanksgiving is so late! We only have about 4 weeks instead of 5 or 6... I know SHOCKING!!! Anyway besides putting a friendly reminder about how many days we have left. I know I'm such a sweetheart! *evil laughter*
No all joking aside..

How do you plan out your gifts for friends and family?
-Me? I try to listen to what people say they want and write it down... So I wont forget! Cause, ever since I had Miss Bug, my brain power has been ZERO!

Do you buy throughout the year?
-I am crazy jealous of people who do this! I just cant seem to bring myself to *shop* for Christmas until Fall sets in.. It's like a mental block.. I will write gift ideas down, but I wont buy them! I need to just bite the bullet and start buying in January!!!

Do you do the oh shit buy like crazy the last few weeks?
-A personal favorite of my Hubby's! Bahahahaha...

Do you save up money and then go shopping?
-I have a pinned pin on pinterest that says you should buy 1-2 visa gift cards a month at a set amount.. Like $25.00 two times a month.. You do this from January till the end of October.. You get..
$25.00 x 2 = $50.00... $50.00 x 10 = $500.00
That's crazy!!

So last night, spent a good amount of time on the computer comparing prices online for my daughter, my husband, my family and my husbands family... Looking at prices at different stores.. Seeing where the best price was...
And I am proud to say With my daughter's list.. It went from just OVER $100.00 to just around $65.00!! Thank you internet!
Welp this is a lame post.. But I will post it anyway!
Hope you enjoyed my little *nod* to the upcoming Christmas season..

  1. Not a lame post at all! I need that kick to remind me that Christmas is on it's way! I swear, next year I need to start shopping in January, but like you I just hate to unless I'm feeling in the Christmas spirit. But it'd be amazing to get everything done by Thanksgiving (awesome idea) and then just relax and enjoy the season without worrying and last minute shopping! So not happening this year, but there's always next year. ;)
