Lists, Lists, Lists......

So I apologize my loyal readers. Life has been a bit on the crazy side! So I shall not procrastinate any longer. I am "trying" this idea from a loyal reader.. *You Know Who You Are..* :-) However when her hubby was deployed she put up her list of things to-do before hubby got home, to sort of keep her motivated and on task.. I think since I am very much a list person this might help me too... I have anywhere from 3 to 4 months left of this deployment and I have LOTS of little things I want to get done around the house before the big *HOMECOMING* day gets here...

Bathroom:
-Change out shower head
-Re-paint door white *it's all scary lookin*
-figure out a window treatment

Guestroom\office:
-Window treatments
-Curtains for closet *No one needs to see all that ARMY stuff*
-Find and buy a bookshelf
-Organize sewing area a little nicer

Master Bedroom:
-Take down *UGLY* closet door thing, put up curtains instead of having the *UGLY* thing.
-Figure out new night stands
- FINISH QUILT
-Change out dead light bulb..

Outside:
-Mount flag pole
-clean up back yard *rake, pull weeds clean up trash*

Organize:
-New York *wedding number 2* scrapbook
-Hawaii scrapbook

As for the quilt. I was able to finish sewing the "top" of the quilt the day before I left for hubby's R&R! It looks great and will look amazing when I am done with it. I still can't believe my hubby came up with the design and picked out the fabric for it...

So with the Quilt I still need to:
-Buy badding and backing
-Wash the quilt and fray ALL edges that are red, blue and cream.
-Sew on badding and backing
-Sew on black buttons on the quilt where there is only cream in the center. *That is to hold the backing and badding in place*!

Then I will be done... My most eye popping thing I have done to our home....
Is our door!

Before:Screen door is closed.

Screen door is open.

AFTER:Again, screen door is open.

Screen door is shut.

To me it looks a whole lot more "home-ie" I love putting "home-ie" touches on our house... Anyway, so I will try and document my list doings among other things... Soooo wish me luck and I hope to be on here again soon, showing you all pictures of the wonderful happening in this Army Wife's Life!
